A return to historical sources
It is with deep joy and great hope that the city of Lomé, Togo, is preparing to welcome the delegates of the member congregations for this 24th General Assembly. This choice is not trivial: it was here, in December 1970, that the Union was born under the impetus of Mother Marie Virginie de SOUZA. More than five decades later, Anima Una returns to its deepatrices to testify to the vitality and unity of African religious life.
Theme: "Consolidating our common path"
Placed under the theme of consolidation, this assembly will be a pivotal moment for our federation. In a changing world and church, the goal is clear: to strengthen collaborative structures and deepen solidarity among sister congregations.a to take stock of past actions while charting the future prospects for an ever more prophetic mission.
On the agenda: Communion, Training and Vision
During these eight days of meetings, the work will revolve around the three fundamental pillars of Anima Una:
- Communion: Times of prayer and fraternal exchanges to nourish "one soul" between the membersres.
- Formation: Sessions dedicated to human and spiritual growth to meet the contemporary challenges of consecrated life.
- The Mission: The definition of new directions for an ever more effective service to local populations in West Africa.
A call for unity and support
This assembly is not only one of the rhopeable, but that of the entire Anima Una family. We invite all sisters, partners and benefactors to carry this event in prayer. Together, let's continue to build this fraternal union that is our strength.
